Roku is a California consumer electronics firm and they are specialists in home digital media products. Their products include Sound Bridge radio, a network music player, AM-FM receiver, volume ramping alarm clock, SD slot and head phone jack. Roku launched a media player called Roku HD-XR player. The dimension of this player is 12.95 x 12.95 x 4.06 cm (5.1 x 5.1 x 1.6 inches) (width x depth x height). It has an excellent high definition (HD) video quality. The digital video playback is available in this player. HD-XR can stream a number of internet videos and audios including Amazon, Netflix, Pandora, Major League Baseball games and Media fly podcasts. It works with all types of television.

The line doubling progressive scanning feature is available as well. The connectivity protocol suits with this player are USB, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11b (Wi-Fi) and IEEE 802.11n. It contains an upgradable firmware which allows periodic update of contents and features. It is an affordable and an easy to use player. The faster Wi-Fi connection and the new content channels make this HD-XR player a favorite one for all. It weighs 300 grams (10.6 ounces). The power consumption for the operation of this player is six watts. Roku HD-XR player is priced around 130 US Dollars.
