A Tale of Achievers

It is widely believed that science fiction remains most popular amongst all the creations. Irrespective of their ages the populace continues to watch science fictions amongst all their preoccupation. The reasons for popularity though are different amongst children and the adult. For adults these programs mean experiencing various astounding scientific innovations. The children in other hand, connect their 'yet to be experienced' dreams to these works. Although being children, the expression of 'yet to be experienced dreams' convert into a 'beauty finally winning over the beast' phenomenon.

Importantly there is an overlooked angle to all those facts state above.

History of science fiction tells us that, to date, no program has been able to revolve around a theme of highlighting those individuals who possess some extra-natural powers. Not only possessing but apprehending of some certain undesirable condition as well, is a distinctive feature of these individuals with extra-natural powers. Does it sound interesting? Obviously it is, given the fact that none of the viewers, to date, have found an achiever of this sort. Being a rare group of people as these individuals certainly are with the power of apprehending something undesirable for the entire society. Truly speaking, achievers are not rare in world-society. However, the portrayals of all types of achievers do not find place in the media, be it electronic, print or even the web.

This is the area where 'HEROES' have scored some interesting points over others. The show has effectively portrayed some of those achievers that have achieved a super-natural power while comprehending some of the worse disasters of all time in the history of world. The 'HEROES' has not only offered meaning of the word 'achievers' a completely new dimension but shown world that there is still more outside the perceived senses and explored phenomenon.

Indeed, the 400 year old dialogue, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy" continues holding utmost relevance even now.

'HEROES' has successfully brought out some of the most amazing stories from most ordinary people throughout the world. All the stars or rather the achievers, of the show 'HEROES' have developed unbelievable superhuman power which plays a vital role in avoiding the disaster and saving the human race. HEROES, which first appeared on September 25, 2006 has followed a certain path while exploring the super-natural abilities in some very ordinary people in a slow but steady way. The slow-paced events of exploring various super-natural abilities actually assist those people becoming aware of their newly acquired abilities. Once aware of them being powered in these super-natural abilities the people get ready for further battle.

This battle however, is very different and does not even require any fire-power from any side. The said battle revolves around the life of the individual who suddenly explored and became aware of his super-natural power in both personal and professional lives. The battle thus, involves ascertaining one's own newly found abilities in personal as well as professional lives.

Therefore do we have to get much amazed in knowing the fact that the HEROES has been a hugely popular show with the best critics of United States rallying behind it? Perhaps not, and especially when there are ample statistics proving a huge popularity amongst the adults of United States. These statistics show that the HEROES have been able to garner 14.3 million viewer ship from first 23 episodes alone. The HEROES has been able acquiring highest rate for its premiere in NBC drama section in a five year span.
