Will Sony Internet TV Blu-Ray Disc Player Work on 720p HDTV?

Looking at the specifications for the Sony Internet TV Blu-Ray Disc Player NSZ-GT1, I see that it can upscale to 1080p. However, my big screen TV is only 720p. Does anyone know if this device will work on 720p television?
